NORS:
A brand and a website for a Scandinavian bakery
NORS is a plant-based bakery with Danish roots, based in Zürich, that started out in its founder’s home kitchen. Cinnamon rolls are their speciality, alongside seasonal bakes and hands-on workshops. I worked on the project from the start: brand identity, collaterals and packaging, then the website, designed and developed to carry the same warmth online.
The idea was for the site to feel like stepping into the bakery: cosy, warm and unmistakably Nordic. It also had to be practical, making it easy to browse the menu, book a workshop, find a reseller or place a custom order in a few clicks. For custom orders I built a dedicated form linked to the bakery’s order sheet.
The site opens with a full-screen video shot in the bakery kitchen, so the handmade feel comes through straight away. Cream, rust and soft lilac come from the brand, paired with an elegant serif and a display font saved for key words like “hygge”. Bright overhead food shots are framed by overlapping cream and lilac panels, giving each section a layered, editorial rhythm.
